Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". She is also known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin began her career in acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who worked as an nanny to Michael Landon's children, helped her land an appearance in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". Following after her Yale University graduation, she focused on acting. She was able to secure significant roles on the film and television industries. In addition to being an actress Martin is also a talented photographer as well as a ballet dancer. She is a mom of two, and also the spokesperson of Lupus. Following her 19-year-old sister's death Martin has been working to educate people about the condition.
